  • The best way to make sure your dryer is working is to try our dry boot test. Simply place a dry pair of boots onto the dryer and leave for 30 minutes. When you remove the boots, they should be warm to the touch. If so, the dryer is working as it should.
  • Yes, the forced air coming out of the unit is extremely gentle. It is not supposed to resemble a hair dryer or leaf blower and may be difficult for some people to detect. We recommend using the back of your hand or nose to feel for the existence of air current.
  • First check to make sure switch is in “heat” position. Secondly, the heat generated by this unit is very mild (105°F) and may be difficult to detect by touch alone. Best way to test that the heat is working is to put DRY shoes on the unit at run for 10-15 minutes. After 10-15 minutes the inside of the shoe should feel warmer to the touch.
  • Yes, that is normal for the first couple of uses. (This is a very small amount of residual resins reacting to the heating element for the first time. They should burn off and go away after the first few uses. This is not harmful in any way.)

This is not necessary. Sealing two ports will not make the other two dry any faster.

Unfortunately, we do not carry replacement adaptors and they are not available for purchase.

These dryers are not tested for international use and we do not recommend using them even with an adapter.
